Seph Lawless

Hardback 198 pages

AUTOPSY OF AMERICA: The Death of a Nation is a harrowing look deep inside the crumbling apocalyptic landscape of America through the eyes of Photojournalist Seph Lawless. His first collaboration with Carpet Bombing Culture.

Seph Lawless began documenting these American ruins in 2001 and since has used his images of a crumbling America along with his satirical musings to promote awareness to issues that he believes is the reason for America’s demise. This haunting American love story examines deep into the fibres of America desperately trying to find a cause of death of this once thriving nation. Lawless believes that this is the beginning of the end of the greatest economic machine the world has ever seen…America.

“This is the beginning of the end of the greatest economic machine the world has ever seen, America.” – Seph Lawless (CNN)

“I want Americans to see what is happening to their county from the comfort of their suburban homes and smartphones.” – Seph Lawless (ABC NEWS)

Autopsy of America takes you through the tattered remnants of the United States of America in a way that you never seen before.  The beautiful apocalyptic landscapes consisting of abandoned schools, factories, shopping malls, amusement parks, theaters, hospitals, sport arenas, homes even entire towns offer a visual diagnostic to some of the county’s true ills. The captivating images are accompanied by Lawless’ personal anecdotes and thought-provoking stories that are equally riveting as the images.
